Counter-Intuitive Crossposting

Cross-posting, while a great feature, seems counter intuitive. Why do I need to click a box for "Crosspost this Entry" if I then need to specify what journal(s) to crosspost to?

I see two alternatives:

1) (Preferred by me) Take the first box out. Crosspost to a journal if I select it.

2) Hide the list of journals until the crosspost option is checked, much like custom friends groups are hidden on LJ until the "Custom" security level is selected.

Something like #1 is actually already in the works. But the crossposter is still in the early development stages. (See dev notes for details.)

In the future, though, you might want to post something like this to an official comm, like [site community profile] dw_news or [site community profile] dw_suggestions. You're welcome to use this comm, of course, but just remember it's nothing official.

Hmm, I think it depends on your default options. I have crosspost this entry set as my default, so ticking the first box allows me to make it a dreamwidth only entry instead of manually having to deselect each journal.
